City Mission Schools was founded in August of 2023. Previously known as Impact Christian Academy, it provides a high-quality education with an emphasis on community engagement. Since the name change to City Mission Schools in August of 2023, the mission of the school has been to “Make an Impact” in the city of Waterbury and to integrate this mission in practical ways through academics. As a nonprofit school model, City Mission Schools is structured to invest not only in the educational development of its students, but also in the broader needs of the community it serves. At City Mission Schools, our mission is to help students recognize the importance of their community and understand how education shapes both their worldview and their role within it. We believe education extends beyond the individual, broadening perspectives and preparing students to successfully engage with and contribute to the communities around them. Through hands-on learning and collaborative experiences, students develop teamwork, academic competence, and the practical skills needed for real-world application.
